Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda introduce an all-female lineup of comedians. Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin: Ladies Night Live – June 14th This story about how Dick Cheney pulled all the strings in the Bush administration features Lily Rabe as Cheney’s lesbian daughter Liz. This Pride Month we are invited to celebrate lesbian vampires in this drama in which teenager vampire Juliette must make her first kill to take her place among a powerful vampire family and sets her sights on a new girl in town, Calliope - but then Calliope turns out to be a vampire hunter from a celebrated slayer family and then also Juliette gets a crush! I was at this show so I can attest it was indeed very good and did indeed feel like the largest-ever gathering of LGBTQ+ comics! In fact, so many people gathered for it that it ran super long and the final talent of the night - Rosie O’Donnell and Wanda Sykes - only got a few minutes each. Hosted by Bob the Drag Queen and Billy Eichner and studded with surprise stars introducing their funny friends (e.g., Lily Tomlin, Sarah Paulson and Lena Waithe), this comedy show featured queer women and trans comics like Tig Notaro, Patti Harrison, Gina Yashere, Margaret Cho, Judy Gold, Patti Harrison, Mae Martin, River Butcher and Sandra Bernhard. Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration – June 9 It’s June, aka Pride Month, and that means it’s time for corporations to show us some RESPECT as a PEOPLE by delivering queer, bisexual, lesbian and otherwise interesting content to our televisions! Many networks are celebrating by re-organizing their websites to remind us that they have some queer movies available while others are debuting brand new gay content! What will the gays find on Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Peacock, Amazon Prime Video, IFC+, AMC+, Discovery+ and more?

But the titles in this first section stand out for breaking boundaries and crossing major milestones. In many ways, nearly all of the series on this list could be called “trailblazers,” “pioneers,” and recognized for their contribution to furthering fuller LGBTQ+ representation on TV and in streaming.
